The Daily News
I just chewed down my last m.
I'm on a diet as well as a phony health kick.
AnywayZ...
I just slammed my last m.

Oh. Confusion following weekend. Understood.

I no longer chew on M & M's.
I now just chew m's.
They crunch just as well, but there's only one m.
Great diet.
The last one of the evening last night was a yellow m.

Hey, it's cautionary. It's like eating diet donuts. Those are the ones with the holes in them.

Ah, lovin' it all.
Moving On, Part One: I think I'm sort of a March kind of guy.
It's a reasonably uninterrupted month, and a long one.
I love that I could enjoy a musical on Friday night, grade stuff all Saturday, plan Monday on Saturday night, and then sleep through the morning on Sunday.
Something like that, plus some goofing off and m time.

I love my job. I love teaching. On Friday one of my students blurted out how much she loved my class, and that she had tons of other students who thought I was amazing.

Keep going.

Here is a secret: I feel I am one of the most insecure teachers around. I over-plan and am constantly with my finger on the eject button.
If I make the slightest mistake during a lesson (and believe me, there are many) I go home and analyze like a madman until I realize how I could have made it better.

<fishing for compliments>

Ah, it's a livin'.

Anybody lookin'?

<crickets>
It was wonderful making time to go see the musical Friday afternoon. They mounted The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, a wonderful play about vocabulary words.
I was in my element. Great show, great fun. I hadn't been to a play in ages and sat with some colleagues too tired to hop in the car and go home. We were electrified. Good ol' theater arts; always there to lift the spirits.
I have people reading this who might remember that I won my 6th grade spelling bee, not the class spelling bee, but the school spelling bee. I won on the word legume.
I was the toast of the town for one afternoon.
It lasted fifteen minutes.

That was all she wrote. I peaked early.

That explains the picture of Everest.

Moving On, Part Two: The writing club I co-advise is doing an Open Mic Wednesday night from 6 to 9.
Started out small, but it's looking like it might have a life of its own. Ah, sounds fun.
This might be the start of something beautiful.
That's all for me. I gottago.
See you again.
Peace.
