Dayum.
Garbage Night.
All was calm.

Love Garbage Night.
Seesly.

Okay.
Here goes.

Sometimes everyone goes out at the same time. Nobody says a word. It's some sort of male ritual.
The garbage now guards each house like midnight sentinals.
There's something ritualistically elegant about Garbage Night.
Moving on, Part One: Tonight is Battle, the EV version of F.A.N.T.A.S.T.I.C.S.
I'm pretty stoked. No, for REALS.
The students are bat-crazy. I must have had six-thousand Egyptians walking in and out of my room yesterday.
They're pumped.
I traveled in time to a year when WE were Egyptians.
I remember building a ridiculously tall Sphinx and somehow hoisting it on top of the quad at Y.B.
We got water running down its front, lighting, and a huge pair of sunglasses. We also threw a pack of Camels into its pocket.
At lunch we pulled off a total Egyptian skit, complete with Egyptians walking on top of the quad spraying silly soap on the crowds to the tune of Walk Like an Egyptian.

Total theatre.
That was a Spirit Week a bazillion years ago.

I remember the year even, but I refuse to say what year for fear my youthening might be exposed.

Anybody lookin?
Anyway, that's accurate.
I may go.
After I did Activities for a few years, the loudness began affecting my hearing, which has never been too good ever.
You remember those hearing tests they gave where you had to point to which ear gave an obnoxiously loud beep? I always pointed to the wrong ear.
My laptop gave me one of those tests last night. It wasn't booting, so I turned it off for a minute or two, then pushed the power button.
I had my headphones on.
Skin-peeled. Left ear. I almost pointed.
Ah, the nostalgia.
Anybody lookin'?
My life continues to be a cartoon.
Moving On, Part Two: Remember the golden days of the 49ers? Wha hoppen?
They are now the team that doesn't know how.
It's all good.
I've got better ways to waste my time.
I'm thinking of taking up knitting.

With my big ol' thumbs.

I'll have the time.

Seesly dawg.
Garbage Day.
Our trucks haven't come yet. They usually come through around ninety miles an hour and knock the containers every which way.
Maybe they had a rough night.
Don't know. Don't care. That's what happens when you decide to retire.
<yawn>
Funny I still work 'til all hours. Last night I kicked back and re-did vocabulary lists for both Romeo and Juliet and Midsummer. Just some fine tuning, and gorgeous pics.
I began putting pictures on my word lists, just to spruce them up.
Here's the one I picked for R and J:

Yes it is from that famous flirtation scene.
Those two knew how to flirt.
Here's the one I picked for Midsummer:
