Ever shop at Grocery Outlet?
The other day a trip happened. Grocery Outlet. GO for short. Hidden treasure y' say? S' what maiks 'em so good mait? Here's what:
First off, they had some classic rock music playing. Cut and paste to give yourself a vicarious idea:

Second, they had organic veggies! I became HELLA excite...
<catching self>
Yes, that too; that too.
Anybody lookin'?
I sure am.
The best part about the place is that everything it seems is $2.99. Or less. Hmmm.
This means you can buy tons of items and still save money on grocery trips.
I found Disney characters for my garden last summer. I went on to place hidden Mickeys all over the yard, all of which dovetailed with Matt and Nicole's wedding, which carried a dazzling Disney theme.
I also found a huge rake for around $15.
They have inexpensive meats and cheeses, name-brand stuff, although some of their best cheeses are from exotic (and inexpensive) companies.
The closest one to my house is out on Calaveras Road, just across from The Black Bear Restaurant, another place that makes you feel you are up in the mountains.
Grocery Outlets also have an entire wine area with bottles from obscure vineyards for under $6.00 a pop. We've had wine tasting parties by hunting down obscure vineyards and offering a healthy salud to each. Odd brands of cheeses and salty snacks complement all of this.
My greatest find came to me the other night. We grabbed a couple pints of Ben and Jerry's.
Dessert of the Gods.
Ahem.
You ready for this one?
Grocery Outlet carries Ben and Jerry's Late Night Snack pints of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl and Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters, plucked right from the clouds.

Want that again?

What a dish.

Turns out Jimmy Fallon scooped me on that particular ice cream.

O-KAY, O-KAY.

You all-nighter late-nighters all beat me to it!

I gotta get to bed WAY later.

For rhose of you not believing: herrrrrrrrre's Jimmy! Look carefully at the label!
At first I thought I was walking smack into a late-night history lesson, but the history of this late-night snack seems to have been a one-night stand.
The ice cream I now choose as one of the best ever debuted on the Fallon show on March 2, 2011. According to the source-that-everyone-says-never-to-use-but-that everyone-uses-anyway Wiki said that the flavor was described as Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with a Salty Caramel Swirl and Fudge Covered Potato Chip Clusters.
No hyphens.
I imagine they might have fudged on some of the ingredients, given the word described, which can be interpreted to mean "described as tasting like..."
I'm pretty sure that all ingredients were in the ice cream.
Pretty sure means I'm not sure. The pretty nullifies the sure.
I could check the ingredients on the label, but I wouldn't dare.
I probably will before the morning is over. I'm not going into work today.

It's poysinal.

Meanwhile, have yourself a GREAT day.
<whispering>
Whaaaaaaaeeeeetttt???
I was just informed by inner voices that I absolutely must give a list of the ingredients for the Late Night Snack.
Here goes:
Cream, skim milk, liquid sugar (sugar water), water, corn syrup, coconut oil, egg yolks, dried cane syrup, tapioca syrup, butter cream (cream salt), potato flour, rice flour, sugar, potato chips (potatoes, safflower and/or sunflower oiles), sea salt, vanilla extract, milkfat, guar gum, sodium bicarbonate, carrageenan, calcium carbonate, salt, soy lecithin, vanilla beans. May Contain Wheat.
For the record, it was all caps. And May Contain Wheat was all in bold. It might as well have said CAUTION: MAY CONTAIN SOMETHING THAT CAN KILL YOU.
And honestly? Ben and Jerry should be brought up on charges of attempted murder.
I just snuck a spoonful for breakfast.
And I am now ready to take on the day.
You have a GREAT day. Mines has already started.
Mines.
Don't get old.
Or rather, do.
Gottago.
See you again.
Peace.
