The DN

I'm officially into knitting. All this klanking around gets to a guy.

  For instance, I love sports.

  I do.

  Playoffs? I'm not so sure.

The Giants' recent spate of championships probably aged me about a hundred years.

  I lost count.

I might BE a hundred for all I know. I might be nine hundred, but I am youthening.

The Warriors and Sharks each owe me about three lifetimes.

   Yeesh.

Knitting. It's in the stars, I tellya.

 Anybody listenin'?

  Less and less.

I should never take Spring Break off.

  Or maybe I should.

The other night I saw some pop-up on Facebook that said, "Retire in Fifteen Minutes."

 Almost did.

I goofed on how amazing that would be. You're sitting around messing with your puter and within minutes you have a Spring Break for the rest of your life.

 AND you're youthening.

Not quite ready for that one.

I am pretty ready for knitting. It seems so peaceful.

Speaking of which: yesterday the second my last class ended I plugged in my amp and played my eleven-string-twelve-string for a solid hour.

 Sorry Granny.

That's WAY more fun than knitting.

I need more practice, but it was breezy and escapist.

Raspy voice. Too much sports' stress.

 Felt great.

Felt really great. You can't really rock unless your voice is raspy. It's the law of Rock 'n' Roll. It is. It honestly is.

Moving On, Part One: Can you retire from watching sports?

 Nah.

 It's too fun.

It shouldn't be a job though.

  It's all good.

I keep a basketball in my trunk at all times. It is pumped and ready for a throw-down.

  Uh...yeah.

  Nothing is real.

And nothing to get hung about.

Moving On, Part the Two: I'm exasathperated.

  Anybody lookin'?

  Ah it's all good.

Last night some movie came on teevee about two guys dating the same girl. That sort of movie inevitably has beach scenes.

 Summertime.

 No longer a fleeting thought.

 I can see myself now.

  Don't be ageist or sexist.

I pictured myself as the chick reading the mag.

That's the wonderful thing about being liberated.

  Ah, wilderness!

  Well this was lofty.

Immina break away and get on with things.

  Gottago.

  See you again.

  Peace.
