Happy Tuesday.
Fast week.
The week travled faster than a Donald Trump interruption.
This complicates threefold when I decide to work on a project.
The irony is that I was reading a piece a few days back about "the Man," and how whoever he/she is wants us to work so hard that we can't think.
Sometimes I think "the Man" is an idiot.
Most times in fact, which is why I avoid writing about him/her.
I must remind myself to remain politically correct at all times.
Ah, whatevs.
Some guy/gal wants to conquer the planet, be our guest.
Oh, and get a life, willya? Last I looked, Planet conquest was played out.
Moving On, Part One: I'm happy to see that there is a riff challenge happening on my Facebook thingy right now. A "riff" challenge is an online challenge to practice, perfect, and present 10 great riffs in 10 days. It's not as tight as underpants, so there is a little give as to what is considered a riff. It is mostly guitar or bass jams lasting a minute or two.
I tried doing that a bit for a challenge held somewhere around December, and lemme tell you, it's rough.
The simple act of placing a cell phone or camera, positioning some sort of lighting, or sporting a clean shave alone requires epic valor. Playing and posting to the masses: not for the faint of heart. Ask a guy who tried it.
That harrowing experience coincided with my nervous condition, which consisted of heart palpitations followed by mountains of chocolate. An honorable approach to a heart condition, as well as a just reward.
I practiced about six or seven different songs, but was never happy with any. The outtakes?
They will likely never see the light of day.
I do want to encourage the participants to continue. I'll root from the sides, and should I decide to post something, I shall alert the media.
Moving On, Part One: Last week I found a website I was going to share regarding new evidence in the JFK assassination.
I became downright giddy, which is never a pretty thing.
On closer examination, I see that it still requires checking on some facts, and as always, that the mystery remains a mystery.
The trouble with researching that moment in history is that bodies stacked up early following the assassination.
This might make people change their ideas about what they saw, heard, etc.
So I'm going to climb carefully down from that ladder and store it somewhere with the paint in my garage.
A major resource seems to be changing its mind. I'm never quite sure what that means. Usually it becomes some form of coaxing that might give someone second thoughts about talking. "Some form of coaxing" might be a body being hurled into the East River, for example.
I'll tell you one thing that will remain with me: one kook did not do that murder. And, our government lied like crazy about the entire story.
Beyond that, I have said all I hope to say.
I don't want the entire last month of the DN taken up with politics and nonsense.
I got a saloon to run. Plus I don't swim that good. Well.
Wish me luck.
Moving On, Part the Two: I originally sat down to do some serious research about all of this.
It bothers me, because I began writing while helping with the babies, who charmed me each time I would awaken.
I laughed. No point. I watched Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt instead. It had been on in the background all day, so I finally decided to throw the politics into the East River, and to choose laughter and sweetness instead.
Much more practical.
Life-changing decision.
It's late as I write. I think I'm going to stay out of trouble and cut this one short today. Today is Garbage Day.
That's appropriate when you toss out all the research you've done on politics. Hey. Garbage Dude. Got room for one more box?
Someone on TV said the word "box" the same second I wrote it in item 37.
Looks like business as usual, which just can't be bad.
Love youse.
Have a GREAT day. Don't say no double negatives today. I don't hardly never do that, so you shouldn't say none neither. Ya got it? Okay then. It just makes you sound stoopit.
Gottago.
Peace.
