So, how was your Windsday?
Tooh much Pooh.
Heffalumps and Woozles. Confusals!
Yesterday was about learning children's songs.
I got over to the babies yesterday, and it was round two of Winnie the Pooh.
It may have been round three.
We took a stroll around the park yesterday. Had to cut it short b/c the babies were cranky.
Isla's screams threw a first-grader off his numbers.
Amazing how loud something that tiny can be, given the opportunity.
When we got back, Pooh was still on. I decided to Google the chords and lyrics to The House at Pooh Corner, a grand old tune written by Kenny Loggins, done by Loggins and Messina, with a much better version out there done by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. I realize that I have said this in another DN, but it bears repeating for newbies.
The chords are easy, so I can't wait to re-learn it. Parts of it are similar to America's Sister Golden Hair, with E-minors, F#-minors and B-minors bursting out to G's.

Shop talk.
Moving On, Part One: I lost a guitar last week. May Jasmine rest in peace.
She was the one I bought from the music store in Mount Shasta City.
I slipped, and she flew:
After.
Not the best guitar, but I bought it for campfires and beaches. It replaced Annabel, my Yamaha, mainly because it was lighter and easier to move around. It played nicely enough, was slightly percussive, and was wonderfully light. It traveled nicely, and I wasn't afraid of throwing it into the trunk without a gig bag. And it delivered at picnics, parties, and barbecues. Sometimes I'd sit at Pope beach up Tahoe and noodle for hours on end. I definitely got my money's worth, but it is always sad when a guitar goes down for the count.
Just about the saddest thing I ever tossed into the Recycling. Oh well. Jasmine passed. So it goes.
Moving On, Part One: Someone posted on Facebook how tired she was getting buying things that are broken when you get them.
I thought it was just me.
I had to return the first three Christmas presents I bought for myself.
I can't return my broken heart over Jasmine.
Hey!
I Can't Return My Broken Heart could be a song title.
Jasmine could sound as though it's a girlfriend, but could be a guitar instead.
No wonder I've written only two songs in my life.
Sigh. Fare thee well, Jasmine. Fare thee well.

Anybody lookin'?

Well.

Thursday. Groundhog Day. The babies sounded off again today, and are crying as I write.
And what is playing on teevee?
Winnie the Pooh. Round four. Or five. Not sure.
Heffalumps and Woozles just finished, and Winnie the Pooh doesn't know what to do, got a honey jar stuck on his nose.
And I am strangely smiling again, because those little babies don't realize they are tuckered. Not their faults.
Oh, bother.
I am still stacked up on my writings. I've got to finish this one and write another for tomorrow, and I'm going out of town, never an easy thing.
So I'm going to bail.
The babies are still upset, but they'll shush here in a moment. After a while I can feel when the vibe has calmed a tiny bit.
So...s-h-h-h-h-h...
Gottago.
See you again.
Have a good rest of the day.
Peace.
