The DN

 Happy Tuesday!

Ever think you'd hear ME say THAT?

Caught up with all my work.

  In education, that never happens.

  ALMOST all my work.

Had a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. Pretty fly.

Wore green. Talked me some Irish.

  Pissed a few people off.

When I got home, Finian's Rainbow was on.

I have a special thing with Finian's. We did it my senior year of high school.

I think I mentioned yesterday that I couldn't act for sour apples, but I loved the show anyway.

I loved it because I was the Sheriff who told Woody and Petula Clark that they couldn't get married. I had to break up their wedding and march them at gunpoint through the audience.

I played a sunglass-wearing Southern cop. I got booed by hundreds of people. Felt like thousands. Might as well have been. By the time I reach a hundred, it will have been.

Nothing better if you ask me.

I got to chew gum, give people dirty looks and say, "Shut up!" to soccer moms, kids, and old bald guys.

Finian's. Good times. I loved the music.

On the day I was born, said me father, said he, "I've an elegant legacy waitin' for ye. 'Tis a rhyme for
yer lips,
and a song for yer heart,
to sing it whenever
the world falls apart.

"Look, look, look to the rainbow
follow it over the hills and streams.
Look, look, look to the rainbow;
follow the fellow
who follows
a dream."

 Look to the rainbow.

How ARE things in Glocca Morra?

They're pretty good in those green, green hills. Ah, Ireland. Land of Dreamers. Yer in me, and yer a wonderful part of me. Look to  the rainbow indeed. Always have, always will.

  Anybody lookin'?

Moving On, Part One: Anybody else running out of creamer at an alarming rate?

 Just what I thought.

I HAVE been putting in some hours.

  Ice cream and coffee beans.

  A poem with no words.

Moving On, Part One: Winnie Cooper and D.J. Tanner just started dancing on teevee, just now. Well, just last night when I wrote this. Let's watch it unfold as it happened. Here's me at the teevee last night watching this show called Dancing With the Stars. Here are my thoughts and notes:

  Am I seeing things?

Winnie Cooper just danced with either Burt or Ernie.

Anybody lookin'? Plus D.J. Tanner is in the wings. Loves me some nostalgia.

Very fun. Somewhere in there Billy Dee Williams did some sort of Star Wars dance. He smiled really well. R2D2 out-danced him though. Still good to see Billy Dee out there smiling. Homie got game. S-h-h-h-h. D.J. is gonna dance. <D.J. dances. Audience goes crazy.>

D.J. danced wonderfully. Afterwards she said that some guy dumped her because he wanted to get to know Winnie.

 Meeeeeeeeeeyowwwwww.

Ah, they'll probably wind up being best friends, like in the movies.

 fdfkdsfkdsalf.

I think Julian Assange danced last night too, not sure.

He was either a dude or chick in some Germanic Aryan dance.

 JUST kidding.

And then LATER last night Drew Carey HIMSELF came in all decked out in Irish green.

Leprechauns "R" Us. He was money.

 Pretty light on his feet.

Amy Purdy blew the room away. Google it. She has won an Olympic medal AND a high score on Stars, among other things.

  Astounding evening.

  Glad I had the time.

Makes me glad it's only Tuesday.

  Anybody lookin'?

This is where I came in.

Go out and enjoy the day.

  I gottago.

  See you again.

  Peace.
