The DN

 Say cheese.

A's fans be hurtin' this morning.

  Don't.

The Giants spent the last month on couches and playing hacky sack on Third St.

Although I'm a Giants' fan, I watched a lot of A's games and enjoyed this team immensely this year. So A's fans:

Do me a favor. Love your team this morning.

They need it. They deserve it.

   You need it.

Meanwhile, lots of awesome baseball, and lots of awesome moments for A's fans. Wish I could say the same for the Giants, who seemed to give up after a couple of guys got hangnails. The A's fought hard, even yesterday. One swing could have turned it around. One swing. Did you SEE the Tigers' bench all the way up to the last out? Did they LOOK relaxed to you?

  So smile this morning.

You guys gave the Bay Area some baseball this October.

Your record shines, and always will.

Great season. Heads high. Respect that team always.

  Moving on, Part One: Hey.

  Anybody lookin'?

  It's FRIDEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

  <snickersnickerteehee!> <-----<hashtagjuvenile hashtag let'sgetintomischieftodaymode>

Make today happen. And YES I know how to make a hashtag, I just didn't want to send you to some idiotic place. Yeesh. hashtag it'shumorfolks.

Moving on, Part Two: I don't know about anybody else out there, but this week knocked me unconscious.

Fortunately I have a good habit of letting most stuff roll.

Like I used to say when a rehearsal would go bad: What'd we come away with?

   School or work stress?

That's not your real life. That's a sort of pretend life.

I must have had a bazillion things go goofy this week. My week was like jumping across an eight-lane highway in Bangkok.

First, I did nothing to cause them.

Second, I've learned how to shed a lot of stress.

Might have been the two trips to emergency beginning exactly three months ago yesterday that explains this mysterious mellowness.

Life altering stuff. Lying on a gurney with stuff sticking to you all night changes perspective.

  It''s FRIDEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

I'm listening to an America concert on You Tube. So perfect. Anyone remember them? Great band, to this day.

Some concert in 2009 in Chicago I think. I found it this summer and forgot about it.

It's fun, despite the fact that You Tube "inverted" it, I suppose for copyright reasons.

Okay by me. It's blasting through ear buds as I tack away at this stuff.

The first time I saw this concert video was when I cleaned my garage. I needed some music, and grabbed it. I didn't even notice it was inverted until I saw three left-handed guitarists.

It was then I thought, "Hmmm. This video has been run through the wash backwards."

I had it hooked up to my small altec speakers. Sounded wonderful, backwards or forwards.

I wound up with a deliciously clean garage and a clearer mind.

I don't remember if that was when I had to go to emergency the second time this past summer. That DID follow a garage scrubbing, which turned my swollen leg bright red, and it throbbed like a train signal.

Before I went to emergency I looked around at my house, my dog, my neighborhood, and my wife.

The only thing that mattered to me at the time was getting home from the hospital.

That entire time is a blur. I celebrated my three-month last night.

I don't think I'm quite all better yet, but I am able to shake off the week and smile big.

That whole episdode put everything in perspective. In two weeks, not only will I have forgotten what it was that stressed me out this week, I will have lived life by diminishing a lot of stuff that seems so important and immediate two days ago.

  Not important.

Daisy Jane is playing beautifully through my head right now. It matches my mood. I wish everyone could hear it. I imagine I could send you a link to the concert. It's nice memories for those who enjoy nice memories. It's also good music for those who enjoy good music.

   Here:

At one point this week I was going to press charges on life for attempted murder. I really thought the world was trying to give me heart failure. Why do we get so wrapped up in all that nonsense at work? All part of livin' I imagine. I have to measure the good stuff as well. What did we come away with?

Thursday night running lights for an amazing concert.

Music. America last night and this morning. Sister Golden Hair

I'm gonna pick up my guitar when I get home tonight.

And then I'm gonna break free.

  Life's too short.

  Live life.

  Love life.

  Peace.

~H~
