1 I had such a nice weekend!!! Nothing like Mother's Day to make you think about Moms!!!
2 I felt she was shakin' and quakin' with all of us, and enjoying the heavens all on the same day.
3 Fun, fun, fun!
4 The best thing that happened yesterday was when our internet crashed, blue-screened, and gave trouble.
5 Here was my reaction:

9 It came back on, but for one brief second I thought of how nice it would be not to be so dependent on my computers.
10 I've lost things in the past. I've had computers crash. Some I was able to rescue and pull stuff out of the rubble and store on flash drives. Some not.
11 Other stuff just lifted and left, like Geocities and UFO's.
12 I did FIND some things. I found, for example, a Xanga site dating back ten years AND which contains some long lost DN's!
13 It is a bit of a gold mine, but I have to push all sorts of different buttons to get there.
14 In the course of doing that I found all of the above pics of the Performing Arts Office.
15 Pretty fun.
16 I also found my old Fotki sites, which are split in two just as my Facebook sites are split in two, one for my homies, friends and family, the other for students, ex-students and colleagues.
17 The reason I don't combine them is that I don't really think my students, ex-students and colleagues particularly want to see me doing a cannonball into a swimming pool.

34 Moving On, Part One: If you're worried about the Warriors, don't be. There are things much worse than enjoying a team that has taken you for such a joy ride.
35 Don't abandon them. They can still win it all. AND they have integrity, which seems <ahem> lacking in certain areas of other sports.
36 So let's come together and shout and scream for this team that has almost everything you could want in a sports team.

39 Moving On, Part Two: I realized yesterday that my year and career are coming to a tremendously fun ending.
40 We have the Café Verona tomorrow, sans nickel coffee, breakfast, and all, but it will maintain it's basics.
41 Thursday Simon and Garfunkel come to visit.
42 I'll be singing both days, open-mic stuff.
43 We'll see where it all goes. Pretty open about all of it. And I'm pretty excited about all of it as well. It's fitting that I'm driving that train through areas unfamiliar. It's the only way to go.
44 Gottago. It's Monday. Have lots to do still, and places to go before I sleep.
